For this project, I interviewed team members about the company, their services, and their audience, then developed a content strategy to reach the company’s ideal customer, community-focused credit unions.

What I Did
First, I developed a comprehensive content style guide that covered website updates, email communications, and social media. Then I created content that integrated brand tone and strategic business goals on each page of the site.

My favorite reaction to the site was from a potential client on a sales call: “There’s a very genuine and disarming positivity to your site that feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the myriad other agencies out there that seem only to strive to look cool.”

For Missoula Federal Credit Union, the values truly come first. To make their new site reflect this, I upended the typical credit union site and put values first—everywhere.

What I Did

As I developed the wireframes, I focused on how to use the values (instead of products) to inspire potential members.

The new homepage is all about the mission and how the reader can get involved, and product pages lead with the positive impact the product has in the local community.

It’s not for people who are just looking for a generic banking account, and that’s ok—Missoula FCU is looking for people who want to be part of their mission, and this new site is designed to help those people know they’ve found their financial home. It’s not about just opening a checking account, it’s about joining a movement.

My big win was that based on the sample copy I provided in the wireframe, the client requested I write all the copy for the new website!

Point West’s Declaration of Beliefs

After the 2016 election, Point West credit union wanted to quickly reassure their community that they remained committed to all people, no matter their citizenship status.

What I Did
In 24 hours, I wrote this Declaration of Beliefs that matched Point West’s branding, tone, and values. I love projects that are mission and values-based, and look forward to working on projects with you that make the world a better place!

This project won the 1st place Spectrum Award for Cross-Media Campaigns from the Northwest Credit Union Association.
